Before you get started with RetentionX, we recommend that you perform a few basic settings to customize the platform to your company's needs. To do this, navigate to your Company Settings:
There are six settings that will need to be updated:
General
Brand Name | Enter your full brand name; if you are using the Shopify integration, this information will be pre-filled. |
Shop URL | Provide your shop URL; if you are using the Shopify integration, this information will be pre-filled. |
Industry | Select the industry you are operating in; this information will be used to benchmark your data. |
Enable 2 Factor Authentication | Activate additional security measures - every time a user logs into the account they will receive an email with a numeric access code. |
Revenue Definitions
Of course, we highly recommend you to stick to our pre-defined revenue calculation, but in case they are not matching your requirements, you are able to change the gross revenue and net revenue definitions.
By default, we exclude VAT, Shipping Revenue, and Discounts for both gross and net revenue. If you wish to add them to the definition, just select them in the dropdown. While changing the net revenue definition, the gross revenue definition will be modified automatically. Click here to learn more about how we calculate revenue.
Report Settings
In the Report Settings you will find settings which directly affect the reporting. Please note that the report settings are reversible at any time.
Order Handling
-
Count Swap Orders as Repeat Purchases
By default- we are excluding swap orders from being considered a repeat purchase. If you want them to be taken into account, e.g. when calculating the repeat purchase rate, change the setting accordingly.
-
Define Order Extras
You can specify which order extras to exclude from certain reports by adjusting your settings. This way, these items won’t impact your order analyses. Specify all add-ons by selecting their product title in the respective input field. All changes will take effect the next day.
Customer Privacy
-
Anonymize Customer Data
By default- we are importing all personal data of your customers, including first and last name, email address and address data. If you do not want this data to be processed by RetentionX, you can activate the anonymization of all personal data of your customers. However, please note that this will have an impact on the functionality scope.
-
Disable Gender Detection
By default, we predict the gender of your customers based on their first name and country. In case you want to disable gender prediction, you can also decide to delete or keep already created predictions.
Appearance
-
Color Settings
Choose the colors that represent your brand and get customized reports, ready to be included in your next slide deck! By clicking on Reset to Default, you can revert to the default RetentionX colors at any time.
