The automatic data import from your favorite eComm platform is fantastic, isn't it? But it can also be a challenge, since all your data is transferred, of course. If you want to exclude selected data on import so that they are not taken into account in RetentionX and thus have no effect on your data, we have a solution for that as well.
This functionality is exclusively available for
How to Exclude Selected Data
All $0 orders are already excluded by default. To exclude further data, all you need to do is the following:
- Navigate to Company Settings > Exclude Data
- Select the fields to identify the data that should be excluded:
- SKU
- Channel
- Customer ID
- Customer Tag
- Order Tag
- Order ID
- Specify the value to be excluded, e.g. Customer ID = 123
- Add further rules if needed
Please keep in mind that setting up the blacklist will trigger a complete re-import of your data.
By default we only import "paid" Shopify Financial Statuses for your orders. If you would like us to also import "unpaid" Financial Statuses, please contact us at success@retentionx.com and we will update this for you.
Use Cases
But wait – why should individual orders be excluded?
There are different reasons to exclude individual orders, but in many cases, it makes sense to eliminate:
- Test orders
- Wholesale orders
- Samples
- Shipping, if it's stored as SKU
Especially the Items per Basket Analysis and the Bestseller reports tend to be squeezed by such data.
