Seamlessly integrate all your Facebook & Instagram Ads marketing costs into the RX data warehouse. This way you will understand how effective and profitable your Meta advertising is.
How to Import Data from Meta Ads
After connecting your Meta account to RetentionX, you can enrich RetentionX with the following marketing data:
- Conversions
- Ad Spend
- Impressions
- Clicks
- Click-Through-Rate
In the Meta Ads settings, click Data Import and follow the setup process:
In this section, you will set up your account in order to import Marketing data from Meta Ads.
1. Account Connection
Since you might have access to multiple Meta Ads accounts, specify from which ad accounts you want to import the data.
2. Source Mapping
3. Campaign Mapping
The same exercise needs to be done at a campaign level. Map all your UTM campaign parameters to the respective Facebook & Instagram campaigns:
-
- On the left, highlighted in green, all your imported Meta campaigns are listed.
- On the right, highlighted in pink, all your UTM campaign tags belonging to the selected UTM source tags in the source mapping are selectable.
- If you have also used UTM parameters to track your already paused and removed campaigns, we recommend performing the campaign mapping for them as well; that way you will have all data in RetentionX.
4. Conversion Event Mapping
After all the data is imported, you can assign the appropriate conversion event. By default, the conversion event is predefined as Purchase Completed.
And that's it! The next overnight import will push all Meta Ads details into your RetentionX accounts.
Once the connection is up and running, you will find the Meta Ads toggle under 'Connected Tools'. You can then use this information in the reports Best Channels and Best Campaigns.
