Meta Ads works most effectively when you provide detailed information about your most ideal target audience. With RetentionX, you have the option to either target specific customer groups or show Facebook and Instagram what your ideal customers look like to find similar ones. And all this with just a few clicks!
How to Sync Your Segments
The first step is to connect your Meta Ads account. Once this is done, you're ready to go!
- Navigate to Customer Segments.
- Hover over Create Audience for the segment you want to use as audience

Choose Meta Ads.
- Select the ad account for which you want to create the audience.
- Confirm by clicking Create Audience.
Alternatively, you can create your audiences in the Meta connection settings under Audience Sync.
And that's it! After creation, it can take up to 24 hours for the audience to be populated by Meta. After that, it will be displayed in the audience list as Custom Audience - Customer List and can be edited further.
Usually, a common challenge is creating and updating your audiences dynamically - not with RetentionX! All data is updated daily and therefore all audiences are always kept up to date. Customers are added and removed when they join or leave the segment.
