Customer segmentation helps you better understand your customers and deliver personalized experiences. When you creating your segments, you have the option to calculate all reports specifically for that segment. Let's see what that means!
With analytics segments, not only can you identify customers who meet specific segment conditions and create audiences, but you can also view all RetentionX reports for each segment and compare them with each other. RetentionX Core includes 20 analytics segments by default; if you need more, you can increase the limit with Segmentation Plus.
Segment any report
RetentionX calculates all reports separately for your analytics segments, allowing you to selectively analyze your different customer groups.
- Navigate to the report you'd like to analyze.
- By default, all your customers are considered for the report. Change this setting and select the appropriate segment.
To remove a segment from the report, just select again All Customers.
Compare segments with each other
If you look at analysis including all data, you’ll only see how people behave overall and if you look at specific segments, you’ll see how those behave. However, compared data will quickly inform you on what makes it unique. Comparing data highlights discrepancies and leads to important questions and answers. To compare two different segments, first navigate to the report you want to analyze:
- Open the compare view by clicking
- After that, the report is displayed twice side by side and you can select the appropriate segments.
- Deactivate the comparison view by clicking Exit.
