You've completed your Klaviyo setup with your RetentionX account, which is great!
The customer insights you selected will be added the next morning as custom properties in the contact profiles of your Klaviyo account labeled RX_fieldname.
If you're having trouble setting up your segments within Klaviyo, please see below common issues and troubleshooting:
Segment not appearing in the dropdown menu
Do you want to create a segment based on a RetentionX segment, e.g. Top Customers, but it is not listed in the Dimension Value dropdown?Please check the steps below:
- Confirm the segment under consideration has been created in RetentionX at least 24 hours prior.
- Confirm if properties were successfully transferred to Klaviyo.
- First- in RetentionX, identify a customer whose in the particular segment.
- Copy/ paste their email address into Klaviyo to bring up their contact profile.
- Next- confirm their customer profile has the appropriate segment name listed under RX_segments.
- If the segment is listed here, we can confirm that the integration is set up successfully and it's a display issue in the creation process. To fix this, copy/paste the segment title directly from RetentionX into the Dimension Value field and the segment will populate accordingly!
- First- in RetentionX, identify a customer whose in the particular segment.
In the unlikely event that the the integration was set up more than 24 hours ago and the data has not been transferred to Klaviyo, please reach out to us via success@retentionx.com.
Segments are not populating customers
You want to create a Klaviyo segment based on a RetentionX property, e.g. segments, but Klaviyo does not recognize customers based on this property? Please check the steps below:
- Confirm the segment under consideration has been created in RetentionX at least 24 hours prior.
- Confirm if properties were successfully transferred to Klaviyo:
- In RetentionX, identify a customer whose in the particular segment. If they don't have a customer profile, just try another customer! Not every customer is an email subscriber.
- Copy/ paste their email address into Klaviyo to bring up their contact profile.
- If the property is listed here, we can confirm that the integration is set up successfully.
- In this case, please contact your Klaviyo Account Manager.
- In RetentionX, identify a customer whose in the particular segment. If they don't have a customer profile, just try another customer! Not every customer is an email subscriber.
