With RetentionX, you have the option to push a customer segment back to your Shopify account. The segment information is added to your customer's profile as a tag. This allows you to customize the shopping experience for your most important customer segment by, e.g. showing them selected products, granting them early access to promotions, or lowering their free-shipping threshold.
How to Sync Your Segment
The first step is to connect your Shopify account. Once this is done, you're ready to go!
- Navigate to Customer Segments.
- Hover over Create Audience for the segment you want to transfer to Shopify.
- Choose Shopify.
- Confirm your selection.
Alternatively, you can manage the customer segment export in the Shopify connection settings under Export Settings.
And that's it! After the setup, it can take up to 24 hours for the customer segment to be added to your Shopify account. The segment name is added as a customer tag to all customers that belong to the selected segment. Segments are updated daily, so all tags are always up to date. Customers are tagged and untagged whenever they join or leave the segment.
