When it comes to shaping your internationalization strategy, the success of your business growth depends to a large extent on the target group you select and the country you are trying to reach it in. So let's have a look at the most important metrics per country.
Definitions
Before you dive into data analysis, let's ensure that we are on the same page. You can evaluate a country's performance based on the following metrics:
New Customers | Number of new customers with a shipping address in the country |
LTV | Average, current Lifetime Value of new customers located in the country calculated by Sum of Net Revenue - COGS |
AOV | Average Order Value of all orders shipped to the country |
Product Return Rate |
Percentage of returned products that were shipped to the country; exclusively available for custom integrations, , and . |
Orders | Number of orders shipped to the country |
Gross Revenue | Gross Revenue from all orders shipped to the country |
Net Revenue | Net Revenue from all orders shipped to the country |
To choose the country that you want to analyze, select it in the drop-down menu:
The metrics per country are shown as a color-coded line chart followed by absolute figures. Trends get even more clear by the growth rate comparing each data point with the previous period.
Both in the graphic and in the chart you can see the run rate: for periods that have not yet been completed, e.g. the current week or month, RX extrapolates the run rate based on the historical data.
Use Cases
If you want to make sure that you spend your time and money on the most impactful countries it is important that you are aware of your countries' performance.
- Monitor your core markets' development
- Focus on the best-performing countries to maximize the growth of your business
- Recalibrate and reassess all countries which do not deliver measurable value
- Identify the countries that are developing positively or worst case negatively over time
- Check whether a certain segment, e.g. your Top Customers, are mostly based in a certain country
